Cadimage Tools

In 1999 Graphisoft released its first API Kit for ArchiCAD 6. This allowed 3rd Parties to produce ArchiCAD add-ons that worked directly with the ArchiCAD database and took development possibilities further than the GDL objects that had been available to date.

Cadimage started developing Add-ons almost immediately following the API release and with ArchiCAD 7 released the first series of New Zealand Tools. Over the years the New Zealand Tools have been enhanced and extended and additional tools have been developed.

In July 2004, Cadimage purchased ArchiCAD add-on developer Theometric Software and employed Andrew Watson in the development team. Theometric Software was the developer of the Builder series libraries including Door and Window Builder, Cabinet Builder and Stair Builder. Cadimage saw Theometrics products as complementary to its own and decided that incorporating these products into its product range had many strategic benefits.
